Welcome to Canada's Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) Laboratory

Hosted at the University of Ottawa, the AEL-AMS laboratory was established to support research on environmental radioisotopes and to further our knowledge on the fundamental principles of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry.

Fee and Service Revision – Effective April 1st 2019

Dear valued AEL AMS Clients,

We would like to thank you for continuing to choose the André E. Lalonde AMS Laboratory for your analytical radionuclide needs. We want to inform you that we are currently updating our Fee and Service Schedule, as well as our Terms of Service. These revisions will take effect April 1st 2019 and will include a restructuring of some of our service categories, changes to submission requirements for selected sample types, and a 5% increase in the per sample cost of our analytical services.

Since opening its doors in 2014, the AEL AMS Lab has supported researchers across Canada and worldwide, and in doing so, has made every effort not to raise our analytical fees. For this reason, the price increase is designed solely to cover increasing operational costs. This increase is a small but necessary adjustment, and reflects the value provided by our high quality data, efforts to provide fast turnaround, expert consultation, and state of the art technology.

Please note that all submissions received after April 1st, 2019 will be subject to the new fee schedule. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team should you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
AEL AMS Team
